SMS Raiders - Cheer 

Welcome to the website for FCCJC/Shawnee Mission South Cheerleading.  This website was created to keep current cheerleaders and coaches informed about what is going on in our area. It is also for interested parents and daughters who might want more information on becoming a part of the SMS Area cheerleading.  Your child is invited to take part in the Football and Cheerleading Club of Johnson County, Inc. The purpose of this program is to give youth practical Cheerleading experience and provide cheerleaders for fall football games September through mid November, and basketball games December through February.  In the Shawnee Mission Area, squads 4th grade and up cheer for both Football and Basketball. While our Junior squad, 1st - 3rd grade only cheer for football. At the end of the football season there is an annual cheerleading competition for all the squads who would like to participate. To some squads this is the highlight of their season. This competition is not like the competitive cheer competitions. This competition is based on rec squad skills.

Main Focus

The Shawnee Mission South Area Cheerleading program focus is on teaching and preparing all participants to be able to cheer and lead the crowd in supporting their team. We focus on Safety and Fun!! We will also teach basic to advanced cheerleading skills based on the squads skill level.
